Synopsis
In the quiet town of Inaba, a disillusioned detective named Tohru Adachi navigates the aftermath of celebrity murder, while recovering from a recent heartbreak, and is caught in a comic matrimony with a mischievous goddess. He's drawn by a mysterious foreigner, hopeful for a chance at authentic love.
Meanwhile, an unofficial government operative by the alias Jhene Mizuhara goes undercover as a nanny to the Dojima household, in search of her sister’s killer as one last dying request from her father, and forms bonds along the way—until they begin to unravel.
As their fates intertwine, they are confronted by the darkness lurking within them, caught in a web of deception and control by it's grand weaver, the goddess Izanami, who has her own twisted agenda for the fate of the world.
